Hi Everyone, hope your weekend is a good one &… Happy August!

We’re starting out with the force of a Leo New Moon, moving on from any changes which came through for us, albeit in perhaps a challenging way, in July. Leo is Ruled by the Sun, which always talks about how we shine in the World. Our strength, our courage, our confidence. The Sun is masculine & therefore an outgoing, expressive Energy, so we’ll absolutely welcome the heat of this after having waded through a watery Cancerian emotional time. Our vitality returns & gets our engines primed again. Leo motivates us to start moving toward what we want now… the things we seek to replace with better versions of what we were asked to release last Month. August promises to be brighter, lighter & far more shiny. Isn’t it nice to feel hopeful again? Mercury is Direct, so we’re almost done with going over “stuff”. Now we regain momentum & can mend any communication snafus & breakdowns. We’ll become crisp & clear. Hoorah! We can utilise a Fire Powered Leo Season to stoke flames & find the motivational fuel to say ENOUGH… & mean it! Put yourself first. Dare. Dare yourself. Escape, but do it the right way.

Mars in Leo is driving us to go for what we want. There can absolutely be a ME ME ME angle & we’ll have to temper that, but it’ll poke & drive us to set out toward achieving the things we’d like to have in our lives. Uranus also plays a big part in August. He’s the rebel & dare devil Planet. He’s adding to your “push” & He’s a Future Forward Planet… He’s your imagination & the lightening bolt, out of the blue idea factory, who joins dots & reaches conclusions at warp speed. He’s the unexpected & unusual solution that pops up when you weren’t thinking about it! It’s exciting but it’s unstable. Once upon a time that idea may have made us quake, but I think we’re SO OVER feeling stuck, that a “Bring It On!” attitude is first & foremost in our minds. Mars is Fiery in Leo, flashy & fast moving. DO look before you leap though… again, life is a long ranging game. Balance is key. Uranus is turning Retrograde on the 12th of August, but before he does, He’s sparking us up & helping us move forward. He goes Direct again in January, just as Saturn & Pluto are hitting the peak of all they’ve put us through. It’ll be interesting, to say the least, so make the most of this Months freshness.

Just as Uranus Retrogrades, Jupiter in Sagittarius is going Direct. He’s been asleep since April. So here again is some extra Fire power, Sagg being another Fire Sign. Jupiter can be seen as our expander. He signifies our Spiritual missions & quests. Whilst He’s been Retrograde we’ve all been inward facing. Now, our Energy is ripe to be expressed outwardly. Jupiter is boundary less, truth seeking & highly creative. We have opportunities to expand & we’ll want to stretch & grow. Taking educated guesses & calculated risks is Jupiter’s game & He’s driven by Faith, Trust & a Higher Perspective on life. Re many of the issues we’ve worked through in July & indeed all year, we should be grounded enough in reality to be able to manage all this from a realistic place. These past Months in general have broken our rosy tints & blown away the pink clouds shrouding our minds. We’ve been pushing through, but in August, we can blast through instead.

Yes, yes, yes, as touched on above, we still have Saturn & Pluto holding us in our invisible prisons, kicking up doubts & worries. More emphasis on that will come into play again soon BUT this Month should feel much LIGHTER. In August, none of the heavier hitting outer Planets are Aspecting each other, just having conversations with the inner, faster moving ones, who govern our more immediate day to day. Neptune is swimming along in Pisces, as He does, & until next Month, lets just leave Him to Himself too, shall we?

Before I get to the Moons this Month, Venus & the Sun, both in Leo, are especially supported in the first couple of weeks, by Jupiter, as He goes Direct. This is nice relationship Energy! Actually, the Aspects made are fortunate all round. Take note of whoever you meet now. Business contacts along with new romantic partners will definitely be getting off on the right foot. These are influences of inspiration & wealth & we have a better sense of fun. So it’s probably the best time of the year to let your hair down & socialise.

The Month kicked off with a New Moon in Leo, on August 1st, at 13:11, @8 Degrees of the Sign. So we get the next couple of weeks to start something new, the 7th to the 10th of the Month are particularly lucky! Leo is about our hearts & what we’re passionate about. Fire Signs are said to represent our internal flame! Ask yourself what would make you truly HAPPY now & take a few steps toward bringing it to you. Leo is courageous, creative, flamboyant, warm, social & friendly. This is a super good time to venture out into new social circles or go to gatherings. You’ll likely come across new people who align with you & bring some joy & spark into your life.

The Full Moon falls on August 15th, at 22:29, @22 Degrees of Aquarius. This is a nice one! The Moon is in Aquarius, of course, but the Sun in Leo is sitting across from it together with Venus. Aquarius is where we are individual & different, where we feel unique & like to march to our own drum. It’s a quirky, unusual & freedom loving Sign. As Venus in Leo is all about Value, love & beauty, this Full Moon is an excellent one for sudden realisations & out of the box solutions with regard to these things. You’re very unlikely to want to stick to the same old routines & patterns, which is fine because now is when you’ll get inspiration & a jump start into The New.

We get a second New Moon on the very last day of the Month, August 30th, at 20:37, @6 Degrees of Virgo. Although the Calendar says August, this New Moon is really setting the tone for the first half of September. Virgo is an Earth Sign & so it’s time to get organised! Virgo is practical & likes to streamline & “systemise” chaos. Perhaps, you can start grounding & putting order to the new ideas the Aquarian Full Moon brought you? Either way, purifying & cleansing of ourselves & our environment will be supported. If you’ve wanted to do some form of detox, start a diet, or start to exercise more, now’s the time! Basically, anything you can do to make your life a healthier one is where this New Moon Energy is at.

A crystal that’s going to fit August Energy perfectly is Jasper. There are MANY forms of this Stone & I’m not specifying anything in particular because of this individualistic Season. We’re all so beautiful & unique in our own way, whichever Jasper draws you is the one you should pick up!
